Currently fighting off an emerging migraine. Taken panadol and nurofen.

Now all I’ve got left is to pray and maybe a heat pack on my neck/shoulders and maybe a coffee.

    🙏

I think I’m going to need extra coffee to get through today. I feel like I lost an hour’s sleep last night.

Somehow I was ready for work at 6:30 this morning which is super rare. Normally I’m rushing. I think it has to do with daylight savings and waking up at the end rather than the middle of a sleep cycle.

Anyway, one thing to note is that I am a casual, but this shift is my only consistent shift each week. I didn’t check the roster properly because for about a year and a half, this shift has always been the same. Today I said to myself that I was going to be pretty early for once. But a voice in my head told me to make a coffee. I didn’t listen to it.

I get there and wait for the manager to open the door. Surely enough, they changed my shift to start at 7:30, so I get less money. The manager had changed the shift on Thursday. It was my fuck up, but lowkey annoyed. Apparently it’s to cut costs but they did spend $150 on a morning tea the other day. Spending less on wages yay. I think I will have to look for a new job soon because I must be getting too old for them.

On the bright side, at least I’ll get a sleep in every second week starting half an hour later.

A thwack in the head for snoring is a great start to the day. If only it hadn’t accidentally hit my ear plug.

New pastime: leaving brutally honest feedback when companies spam you with feedback demands. Just rant at them about the unethicalness of their business models, and outline how their entire existence is essentially predicated on exploiting people in crappy circumstances.

They conveniently disappear if you leave your email :)

You could totally automate that with a bit of dev (serverless with AI).

Question for you, market research for me: How much would you pay for that kind of service? Is it a million dollars a month? Please say yes; I want to retire.
