Feeling much better. Inventory of my house turned up an abandoned bag that isn’t mine. Got my iPad and wallet back…and some paperwork with a name and address on it.

Just got off the phone with the crime scene people. They want that paperwork

That’s great to hear you got your stuff back.

She must have panicked when you got back inside and dropped everything and bolted.

Something that’s been on mind is how quickly it happened as well.

She must have been camping and casing the place for everything to have happened like you described.

Think from now on you’ll need to lock the door behind you before you leave for anything.

I hope the police manage to catch up with this thief with the paperwork she left behind.

Oh, they do. I had these random creepy women keep coming back knocking at all hours. One of them then got arrested on the block with an elderly neighbours set of keys on her.

That was a few years ago and I’d forgotten about it but note to self.

Thank goodness that woman was dumb enough to stop, drop and run and you don’t need to replace your cards. Best possible result after everything. I agree that unfortunately it sounds like you’ll have to lock your door behind you any time you pop out now though.

I’m glad you got your stuff back. Now I’m going to be thinking of this every bin run
