If that’s the case, how the hell do you prevent it? Disassemble the TV to disable it yourself!? Edit: why the downvotes? Am I wrong?

It still freaks me out a bit that TVs come with Wi-Fi antennas, and that some of them may/will connect to public networks if they see them. If that’s the case, how the hell do you prevent it? Disassemble the TV to disable it yourself!?
