      There really must be a generation divide on the type of humor in these comics. It seems like if there’s any comments on a comic, it’s always some form of “I don’t get it” or “why is this funny”.

      I find it really interesting.

      Anyways, it’s humorous because “new kid” usually means new to this school but in this case it’s “brand new” like the kids just came off the assembly line or something.

        Most of these are inexplicable to me. Wish they came with explainers

        But the idiom is “brand spanking new”, not sparkling.

          Perhaps “shiny and new” and he did sparkles to show it? Either way, it explains the comic! Haha

    Honestly, over did it with the sparkles. One on the left cheek, one on the right arm and I feel more people would’ve gotten it.
