President Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejected UN Secretary General António Guterres’ visit to Ukraine due to his participation in the BRICS conference in Kazan, Russia.
The UN is a diplomatic institution. It is vital and by design that they talk with everyone. China and Russia are two of the UN Security Council veto powers. Calling the Secretary General a “dipshit” for doing his job is like calling a Judge a dipshit for throwing out illegally obtained evidence.
It’s darkly hilarious that the SG thought Zelenskyy would just smile and shake his hand after pulling that. What an absolute dipshit.

He should certainly talk to everyone. But kissing Putin’s ass the way he did was absolutely not necessary.
There is a difference between keeping diplomatic channels open and actively legitimising Putin’s régime by visiting Russia to attend a summit.
