    If its spuds, then isn’t it vodka??? I could well be wrong here, but I thought poitin was a mix of 3 barley to 1 wheat?

      poitin is a traditional moonshine, meaning it’s whatever you can get to ferment. Lot of starchy stuff used thanks to the brits turning Ireland into the worlds largest potato farm, so taters are perfectly acceptable to base mash
