My boss is going on leave for four weeks as of today, so I asked my bosses boss of they’ll be my reference. They will, and it was pretty chill

Now this hotel doesn’t have very good soundproofing (at this point I don’t believe any building in Australia does) and I can hear everything happening in the hallway and the rooms next to me. BUT I’ve got a splitty in my room and I set it to come on if it goes under 19 and this is great. So much easier to wake up when it’s not like 5° in your room

I still couldn’t get a very good sleep though. Dozed off again at 5:30 or so and woke up again now. But tonight I’ll have a better sleep

    I’m so, so, so tired.

I think gym this morning is the reason. It’s day 4 of 6am wake up and I think I’m almost normal.

I’m eating dinner, kidnapping the cat and going to bed. Goodnight all ❤️

Eleven days since I tested, twelve since the symptoms hit. Spoke to the nurse at my practice and she said it’s not surprising as I’ve still got symptoms, and this variant tends to linger, but if I’m still coughing next week give them a call and they’ll reevaluate.

I think I’ll wear my slippers around the house all the time.

I got the kids some hot wheels cars and one is a stegosaurs. Essentially its a spike trap on wheels. Couple that with their puzzle pieces with little handles on them and there are a few nasty things to step on.

I want to avoid the very dad thing of stepping on one of the kids’ toys at an unfortunate moment

I used to be very anti socks (and anti shoes too, but that’s a different story…) and took both off the second I was inside. Then one day I was just sort of too lazy to take the socks off and wore them for about 24 hours or so and was pleasantly surprised with how nice it feels wearing socks constantly, and how warm my feet stay. Now I am only sockless for about an hour a day

        I can’t stand slippers though

There was a kid in the ER last night with the same name as my kid. He had his hand smashed with a brick at school and he was still waiting after we left. Poor little fella was OVER it and just wanted to go to bed, hope he is ok.

My daughter’s at Coles and she texts me to ask if I want anything. So I sent a shitload of texts back in a row. Get donuts. Cinnamon donuts. Or whatever. And biscuits. Any biscuits. I don’t care which ones. You want your dad to pick you up. Hello.

    Pay backs ☺

Edit: first gym day since the 6am start. Not too bad. Lots of grunting around me. Eeesh

Crazy tooth pain tuesday night, saw my dentist yesterday, tooth extracted (2nd one in 2 months but it had to go), today is pretty much pain free with like no soreness in my gums or jaw. I’m glad, but also odd.

yikes! Not ideal. I had a mate describe a root canal as the worst pain he’s ever experienced. Takes his dental hygiene VERY seriously now.

This was going to be either a root canal (got quoted 3k for it) or a pull. I opted for the pull as it’s instant and about 1/10 of the price.

Interestingly enough, I brush twice a day, floss daily, avoid sugary shit etc. Sometimes it’s just genetic unfortunately. I inherited my dad’s crappy teeth instead of my mum’s.

Plenty of teeth left still :) One day I’ll to SE Asia and do a full rebuild. The one that was pulled a few months back was a wisdom, so no real loss there

Partner has hyperdontia, aka Sharkmouth. Genetic and apparently a generation skipper. Losing a bunch of teeth to several violent things turned out cosmetically better?!?!

My wife has that!! She had some removed in her early 20s (jaw was too small) before her wisdom teeth grew in. She got those out about 15 years ago. All up she still has more teeth than me and has had like 6 or 7 removed.

            Crazy

If patterns fall your grandkids will be fine and the next lot be very expensive. Apparently his Pop could stop a bar fight by smiling.

I have never felt pain as bad as tooth pain. Last time I was lying down on the floor at the dentist in tears waiting to see the dentist. Fucking awful shit.

I can assure you a ruptured ovarian cyst is worse in the instant, but it goes away. As do kidney stones. Dental stuff drags on and on. Much worse than single shot near crits.
