Honestly, probably not that hard. In the industrialized world no nation can survive on its own. Most decolonization advocates I’ve heard argue for a sort of confederation. First they need their land and sovereignty back, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they turn into a United States of Turtle Island or something like that.
For political reasons, it would probably be difficult to get them to form a federation and turn back into the USA
