I wouldn’t be so quick to discount Putin. Yes, he did lose Syria after nearly a decade, and that was a disaster, but remember everyone also thought Russia would be in a constant state of terror after the Second Chechen War, and everyone thought Putin would soon have to reckon with the bad blood he had made with the Chechen warlords. Instead, he pacified them - the Chechen warlords aren’t great but at least they no longer do terrorism within Russian soil and the people living there have some semblance of peace.
Western imperialists have been attempting to sabotage the domestic stability of the Russian Federation since the early 2000s, and they haven’t yet been able to succeed.
Kamala was just a pawn, placed there purposefully by Biden on his way down.
This was a civil war between the Bidens and the Pelosi/Obama factions. Biden screwed them by deliberately naming Kamala as his chosen candidate (to circumvent a primary) and publicly tied her to the Biden administration’s “success”.
The rival factions couldn’t do anything: if they oppose to Kamala as the nominee, then they’d also be denying the “success” of Bidenomics that would be extremely bad optics for the party and the Democratic presidency as a whole. If they choose to go with a primary, they’d be publicly opposing Biden’s chosen nominee, and that might as well be telling everyone that the party is dysfunctional and nobody is at the helm, just three months away from the election.
The Bidens played their cards right and have the last laugh. Even managed to free Hunter on his way out.
You should tell Putin that
But I was told that Russians have been genociding millions of Ukrainian civilians.
By the way, I absolutely do not accept the irony regarding Putin’s statement that military tasks in Syria were solved brilliantly by Russia. They were solved brilliantly at that time. No irony. Russia preserved Syria as a state and gave it 8 years of a quiet life.
But circumstances tend to change, and those who, resting on their laurels, do not feel this, lose. Putin won the war in Syria, but lost the peace. The saddest thing is that such a matrix can be reproduced today (as it is regularly reproduced with dreary predetermination) with Ukraine.
You can win the war but still lose the peace. Can Putin keep the peace in Ukraine? That’s the question.

This is the guy who played Trump in SNL impersonating the very same Trump who publicly said he could shoot anyone on the Fifth Avenue and get away with it.
Reality is stranger than fiction.
