Well, the point of this is a lot of suckers forget about cancelling and it makes Adobe a lot of money.
I don’t know where, but I read that subscription services make a lot of money from people that are paying for it but not using it, or barely using it. I guess the “free trial” is the tasty carrot dangling at the end of the stick to attract new “customers” to this fair and honorable practice of “product as a service”.

It’s confusing enough, we actually have 4 different forms:
Porque (because)
Por qué? (why?)
(el) porqué: the reason why
Por (el/la/lo) que: I don’t think this is used anymore without the article, but some linguist correct me please.
Most people don’t know how to use the latter two, even I am still confused about the last one.

Curious, I’ve never seen ntp, but I’ve heard and used “ntr” (no te rayes), which means the same.

In Spanish there’s some things like “xq” instead of “por qué/porque” but it was only used in SMS messaging to use less characters. If someone talks to me like that I won’t reply, it just doesn’t have the same vibes as in English.
…which makes me kind of a hypocrite for using “obv” for obviously (obviamente).

I find it more depressing that there is a God that decides what is good and what isn’t and gives us “free will” just so He can torture us for eternity if we dont do what He wants… kinda fucked up ngl
Fortunately I don’t need any more reasons to live than enjoying my day to day, being with the people I love, doing my little projects etc.
It’s not an awful take, it’s reality. Being dumb is not genetic and this has nothing to do with eugenics.
Also, they didn’t say parents don’t need to be involved at all. I think the idea is that the children get exposed to other people and ways of thinking and not JUST the things their parents decide for them. Otherwise it’ll be indoctrination -better or worse- but the kids won’t think for themselves.
For example, I think homeschooling is especially awful because parents just can’t teach all the things that being in a classroom will. I don’t know why it is legal in the USA, they should just have separate classes for kids with special needs imo, like in Europe.
