I think snow and ice would be better at reflecting but we seem to get rid of those ice caps… But when the ice melts, it cools down the ocean so of course, problem solved!
Obviously the latter
I frequently go to the soccer subreddit in a browser because there’s nothing like it out there, the speed with which people upload highlights, the match threads, the official announcements are all there if you care about high level soccer. It’s the only thing I really couldn’t replace
I know someone responsible for these labels and descriptions for a fairly large company, can absolutely confirm this will happen a lot. The product has to go out to the stores and there is just no time to get these translation anymore. I also know of products that shipped to large stores with false information on the label, knowingly because changing it would take too much time and money.
Ah yes, the ‘Hausarzt’ in German :D thanks for clearing that up!
Serious question because I’ve never heard the term: what is a family medicine doctor?
I’m always reminded of the YouTube channel technology connections and his famous line “but sometimes…!” It really is a non issue almost all of the time but people always act like they will spend 60 minutes at a fast charger every day.
These must be solid brakes
Told my family and friends I’ll be moving to signal, gave them about 2 months before switching and told everyone if you don’t want to install signal, you can always call or text me. Moved my entire family and all of my friends over. They all use WhatsApp as well but realised that there is no problem with using one more app
What other solutions would you propose to the problem of meat production contributing 18.5%?
Yeah I don’t really rewatch movies except maybe to sort of show them to other people. But I have a small child so I know my top movies are Moana and Encanto, just not by choice
I give you an upvote just because you say you don’t rewatch movies often, but then proceed to list your top 12 movies ordered by most rewatched :D Brilliant!
Seriously it has sort of changed the world. I know I’m just handing all my location data to Google but the way it works and the features it offers are amazing and I cannot imagine a world anymore in which I might get lost if I just take a wrong turn somewhere. That combined with the free messaging has made “finding” anything location related a non issue. I can send people a location to meet, I can look up an address someone gave me, I can send my spouse my live location while I’m on my way home to let her know how far I’m out, I can find a hardware store in a town I’ve never been to because I need to tape to fix my bag or whatever, people write helpful comments about where to park or whatever. Maps will suggest different routes for pedestrians, cyclists, drivers or find you a public transportation route if you wish, including (usually) the exact time your train or bus or whatever leaves. It’s fantastic
Very interesting take, I can agree with a lot of it. I live in Germany and for a few years now, you can buy a version of the Citroen Ami (there is an Opel Version here which is the exact same ‘car’ but with more marketing in Germany, called the ‘Rocks E’). The car has about 75km or range (prob lably 60 realistically), two seats, is fully enclosed, has a heater - decent little thing if you do mostly short trips. It’s built to be easily repairable, many parts are used multiple times in the vehicle and basically it’s all just plastic trim around a steel frame. I’ve seriously considered it since I live in a rural area but most of my trips are 5-10km, I work from home. It’s not regulated like a car, it does not need car insurance and isn’t taxed, and is therefore significantly cheaper to run. You can charge basically with any wall outlet, it doesn’t fast charge anyway. In Germany, you can legally drive this car at 16 years of age with a license. The downside? Aside from being a less comfortable overall experience, you can’t go faster than 45 km/h. That is just a tad too slow for my taste, since rural streets here allow for either 100 or 70, I’d like to be less of a hindrance all the time. I think in a city, this would be fine, you can’t go faster than 50 most of the time anyway.
The price for one of these to purchase is around 8.000 euros, that’s not huge but you can get very decent used cars for less money, that’s probably why these won’t catch on here. But I do like the concept , just maybe let me go 60 in it
The movie has an interesting story about how so much was cut or couldn’t even be filmed and the editing ended up all over the place, the movie ist barely coherent at times. But the feeling I got just thinking about that place was captivating nonetheless, great movie. Captures the vastness and loneliness of space well imo
Hahaha, this reminds me of my first play through of final fantasy 7 where I didn’t quite understand you could change/upgrade weapons on your characters and I’ve went very far in what is essentially hard mode at some point, doing significantly less damage than I could.
I was a kid with poor reading comprehension I guess
That’s just dedication, right on!
I don’t quite recall what I did but on my first ever play through of final fantasy 7 I messed up in a way that would never allow me to breed chocoboos, or at least getting the one that allows you to get to the island where you can get knights of the round. I’ve finished the game without ever knowing what that summon looked like and it annoyed me greatly. I’ve replayed it years later and used guides to make sure I wouldn’t miss out this time
The lethal company, casual fun if you can find 2-3 friends to play.
