For liberals/capitalists in the West, “sweatshops” are what exists in “the third world”, if such a factory exists in the West, then it is a “factory with poor working conditions”, e.g. Amazon warehouses, Tyson chicken processing plants, and so on. The difference is in the perceived essence, a sweatshop will forever be a sweatshop, while a factory with poor working conditions can always improve those conditions to become a factory with good working conditions.

Thanks for that, now I’m deciding whether I want to buy 4 “vintage” Superfest glasses or eat something other than rice and beans for the next month. Food is delicious, but having Superfest glasses would be sweet.

It’s crazy how they found a way to sell toys little useless plastic things to adults. Capitalism is all about expanding the markets and finding new consumers, like how they found a way to market cigarettes to children.

hah that’s where I saw it too. OpenBSD was booting and I thought to myself the font looks very sleek and sci-fi, it reminded me of Star Trek Deep Space 9 for some reason (no idea why DS9 specifically).
