  • The US, Japan, South Korea are the best examples

You know, the US that were so democratic to genocide the native population of the continent, using slave labor to build their economy while being systematically racist for their whole existence. The country that didn’t have a single war on their soil, brought wars, despair and poverty to the other regions of the world.

Or fucking Japan that was just dumped with money and US control to become their satellite state, just like South Korea. So in order to be a democracy, and not to be the US, you need to totally give up your sovereignty? Is that how it works?

Is that the price that you need to pay to be a democracy? The one of the best examples of it? What the fuck is this guy thinking.

  • His response is interesting.

It also leads to racial hatred and division and doesn’t actually address the issues. It’s like Nazis saying that black people commit so much crime because of biology. It’s false, leads needlessly to hate, and nothing gets done.

He basically created a straw man because I rarely/ever see “woke” media that is genially racist towards white people. But then he’s trying to compare “white struggle” in the MEDIA to a real life struggle of black people, which is really fucked up. And what’s funny, he’s saying that “Nazis” say that, when people that are generally on the right are keen to be racist and make those claims, but he doesn’t want to associate with them, to not seem like he is battling one racism with the other, so he says that exclusively Nazis say this shit.

  • Jesus Christ, that is the most disgusting fucking thread I’ve seen in a while, what the hell is happening.

I often think that I have put myself into an echo chamber and I need to seek more alternative thoughts, but when THIS is the alternative, I’m sorry, there’s no way I’m gonna listen to those fuckers not even ignoring, but cheering for genocidal actions because they deemed Palestinian people undeserving of even existing.

  • Such idiocy, companies (especially tech companies) artificially slow down the progress to increase their profits, not the other way around.

From the “Innovation” standpoint there’s no need to release a phone every year, but Apple does it, why? To innovate or make money? Why then every time a new iPhone comes out it’s barely distinguishable from the previous one, aside from a couple of features? iPhones are powerful enough to withstand 10+ years, so why not release a drastically new phone at least once in five years? Wouldn’t giving more time for your engineers to innovate bring even more innovation?

  • I would highly recommend watching DarkViperAU’s playlist about React Content: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAnJ4ZuTYaeGv4WIexP9C5LAuMEnMkG-Q

But if you want a shorter explanation, basically, it doesn’t matter if you have consent of the original creator. We don’t look for consent from workers when they sell their labour, whether they like it or not, it is exploitation.

Reaction content harms not only the original creator, but other creators too just because of how the YouTube algorithm works.

To make a 30 min video the original creator needs to spend a day, two, a week, a month to finish the project and in the end hope that his video will be picked up in algorithm and get a lot of views. Hasan needs to spend the duration of the original video plus his commentary to, essentially, make the exact same content. Why? Because information didn’t change. No matter how much commentary you add, the original video in its entirety is on Hasan’s channel.

How is this bad? Well, because how much less time the reactor needs to make a reaction, no matter what, the original creators on the platform lose because not the most exceptional creator wins the lottery of the algorithm, but the one who gets a lot of watch time constantly. No matter what, Hasan will be faster, more efficient in making videos because he just steals what another person did, talks about it a little, and then reuploads it on the YouTube channel.

So, after the person watches Hasan’s commentary on the stream or on YouTube and even if it so just happens that the original video will be recommended to him on the home page, will he click and watch it? He already saw it, what’s the point.

Yes, sometimes reaction gives a boost to the original creator, but it doesn’t matter. Because not only him is harmed in the process.

Because Hasan made a reaction and it was reuploaded to the YouTube channel, he now competes in the algorithm with thousands and thousands of other videos on the platform, original videos from original creators. Eventually, because Hasan is so popular and because he steals interesting videos and puts them on his channel, he will be recommended to other people.

How is this bad? Because a video with Hasan’s face showed up on the home page means that someone else’s video didn’t. Not necessarily the original one Hasan reacted to, but some other original content. But they lost this chance to show up on the home page because, to the algorithm, Hasan’s channel is much more attractive, this guy spams awesome content almost every day, he is no match to other people who spend time making their videos.

When reaction gives a lot of views to the original video, it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things because many thousands of people were harmed in the process.

Again, I highly recommend watching DarkViperAU’s playlist because I can’t explain it better than him, but if you want to know specifically about Hasan, here’s the link: https://youtu.be/va1zPshj5f0

  • First of all, what? LTT is a Nazi? That is a genuine question, because I haven’t followed him from the start, so I don’t know about his career and how he became popular.

Second of all, while it is good to have as many left-wing YouTubers/Twitch streamers as possible, people deserve much more than Hasan fucking Piker. If you imply what I think you’re implying, I don’t think just because he has left-wing political views we should forget about how fucking awful and ignorant he is.

There are a lot of great people on the platform, not compared to the fucking shit show of other content creators, but still, I’m glad that they’re here. And losing Hasan won’t make a difference to how popular our beliefs and views are in the world, because being represented by him only harms our image.

Yes, he might have inspired some people to read theory or watch more socialist content, but, in my opinion, he causes more harm than good.

I might have been okay if he used the money he is earning to fund big projects that could push socialist content to another level, but no! He is wasting it, the golden opportunity to spread his ideas through original and high quality videos, to instead spend it on his mansion and new cars.

    I hate him.

  • I get you, I’m surrounded with this narrative and even have people who openly hang the OUN flag in their bedroom and showcase it in online classes… no one speaks out. Why? Because they were forces who “fought against both sides”, even though it’s proven that it’s not true, it doesn’t matter, because government propaganda supports this narrative (you can already guess where I live).

Don’t be upset, you are not alone. Don’t let them discourage you. We are with you, comrade!
