“the things that made Reddit Reddit years ago, before it turned into generic social media”
Bingo. From a financial standpoint reddit doesn’t care about how it used to be. Being generic social media is worth more money to them
How would a fake gun make the sounds? Guess you could add in editing afterwards but the cleanest, easiest and most realistic would always be to use a real gun with blanks I would have thought. But I’m not a movie producer, so idk
Could also be that even if you’re able to get similar quality gun shots off a fake gun, it would cost a lot more in production etc
6 years to break even is probably a bit much, maybe 2-3
But it’s your choice if you want to use it or not. I’m happy using the app with ads
Oh okay
Google play or iOS? Google play is 3 stars i think
Edit: Sorry sync is only for Android not iOS. I think its because of geographical location or device type as another user said
Why does it have 3 stars on the app store
Thanks for the info. Yeah I dont think we will be printing anything with metal. I just heard theres some process that does that but I am not sure how that would work
Also Im guessing you just printed the box, not the little black and red connectors, or the black piece that holds the screen or the little yellow buttons? Just wondering as I might try something similar some day.
True. Is it glued together or do the joints just hold it all together?
Very cool. Would you be worried at all about heat?
So to run the Bambulab I have to use my own 3d modelling and then a slicer?
Also I dont really get metal filament. People say you can get a metal-plastic filament and after you’ve modelled it you melt away all the plastic. Wouldnt that require the metal to be melted ? (2000+ degrees celsius)
It can be useful asking it certain questions which are a bit complex. Like on a plot which has the y axis linear and x axis logarithmic, the equation of a straight line is a little bit complicated. Its in the form y = m*(log(x)) + b rather than on a linear-linear plot which is y = m*x+b
ChatGPT is able to calculate the correct equation of the line but it gets the answer wrong a few times… lol
I used GPT4 the other day and it worked perfectly for calculating formulas of straight lines on linear-log plots but maybe I was the 2%
Thanks. I think we will go for the Bambu P1S looks like. What is an orcaslicer? Also do you know can you print metal on the Bambu?
I think we might go with the Bambulab. I have seen quite a few say they are pretty reliable. As opposed to something like the Ender 3 which I have heard people say are a bit unreliable and you have to spend time tweaking.
Some parts of the Bambulab apparently you can’t buy. Here is a youtube comment i saw “yes, they do, but as he alluded to, some of them are not replaceable, or even serviceable, like the carbon rails …”
Hopefully the carbon rails (whatever they are) wont break though lol
Which is good because phishing sites suck especially when they start hitting high up on google searches
I think we might go with the P1S. Its 749 euros compared to 649 for the P1P. And the P1P is not a complete machine it seems, theres panels missing on the top front and sides. While that would be okay, if we ever wanted to upgrade it it would be better off just getting the P1S for the extra hundred euro now and save the hassle
I don’t actually know how they do it in movies but from this one example I’m assuming it was industry standard but I could be wrong.
Other movies might do what you said e.g. airsoft gun or fake gun, with edited sounds later
I do find it hard to believe the industry standard is to use real guns with blanks but it may be that way. It’s a lot simpler, but obviously more dangerous
And yes guns are very loud, after a gun goes off beside you, you will have a sort of numbing in your ear for a few seconds and you can’t hear anything out of it lol
