thats the reason i dont play those Games anymore(although i would love to). i cannot live with the fact, that i am not in charge on my own device

yesterday i pressed tab to autocomplete in file explorer. didnt work. then i tried to split the view so i had a way to move files without cluttering my desktop. somehow didnt work on windows. dolphin(after getting used to it coming from windows) is loads better

kde plasma has it enabled by default. just drag your windows using shift. also press super + t to enter the editing mode

on my fedora pc i actually Had to use xpadneo to get my xbox (Elite 2) controller working via bluetooth. before i did that, it would connect and show up in buetooth but wouldnt work and not be recognized by steam. but keep in mind i did this on a pc with fedora and not a deck so it might not work

i am using nvidia and wayland on kde and I am experiencing no problems except those I also had in xorg(ui elements sometimes become unresponsive after playing a game)

i have a rtx3080ti and am using KDE plasma 5 wayland on Fedora 38(now 39) exclusively for gaming. i made the switch to wayland a month or so ago and i am having a considerably smoother experience than x11. especially with multiple monitors and flatpack apps like discord in the mix.(steam is running native though). no issues that i am aware of so far

if you are using docker/podman you can use e.g traefik reverse proxy.

if you don’t use docker you Have to move those Services behind an apache/nginx/haproxy reverse proxy.

you mean this strange old socket that is (at least for me) primarily used for collecting dust since almost a decade? yeah, personally I can live without it.

and this fortunately is not apple. You can use every brand of earbud and use all of the features, so I don’t really get your point at all. the phone is very good and I hope I will be able to use it until the 30s

personally I am staying with the “big ones”. on my gaming pc I have installed fedora with kde. on my notebook(with touchscreen) I am trying Debian with gnome and eventually arch when I am clear on how I want my system to be exactly

for work and network stuff I use debian with kde.

If you are unsure I’d recommend either debian or fedora with kde. Ubuntu isn’t really something for me because snap is really annoying (apt installs sometimes default to snap but don’t tell you outright)

with the latest updates and after an initial shader caching the game runs smooth as butter(capped it to 40fps for battery reasons)

Dark souls saves very often. you can’t really save scum. if you die, you die. if you fall from a cliff and you quit out before the “you died” shows, you are on the last stable ground and alive. if you quit out during a boss battle you will load in before the boss fog but if you used estus or items they will not be restored. enemies will reset their position if you load in but stay dead if you already killed them. this is true for every platform and every soulslike game made by from soft . if your game crashes you will load in a few seconds before the crash.

but you also cannot really pause the game. your only reliable glitchless way of “pausing” is quitting out

i thought about adding hades to my personal list in this thread but the story is so good, that I cannot play it and let my mind wander at the same time

emulated:

• pokemon leaf green/fire red
• zelda BOTW (small chunks possible. Do one shrine, explore a bit. Search for some koroks.) runs beautifully on yuzu

RPG:

• Dark souls 1 Remastered(Because the game practically saves every second or two you are not in any way committed to play a long time)
