I think you’re totally right! That’s partially why I said it’s a bigger problem on Lemmy. Tools like browse.feddit.de will be pretty important; it’d be great if they were placed prominently somewhere.

It looks really great! Minor point, but I was mildly amused by Basim’s complete lack of expression as he’s executing the last assassination: https://youtu.be/gcLe3Rkqo_0?t=394
Yeah the ground-to-space sequence was great. I wonder if that extended ~15 second duration where the ship is completely surrounded by fog is essentially hiding the game loading. If so, it’s very nicely done.
Although this issue might be more severe for Lemmy, I think it still occurs on Reddit, but it ends up working itself out. For instance, there’s also a “r/tech” and (at some point) there was a “r/technologynews” subreddit, which you could view as redundant and possibly confusing to new users. But r/tech seems to have focused on longer-form more in-depth discussion while r/technology is certainly the larger and more general of the two, so most users will probably just sub to the larger one and maybe others will decide they like the vibe of r/tech more. In the long term, I’m sure a similar thing will happen to communities with the same, or close to the same, name.
You should! This is a fairly strong teemo/Tristana deck right now: https://runeterra.ar/decks/code/CQCACAIEBAAQMCIEAEDAKIAHAUFGS5DXQUAZQANGAG3QCAYBAYFBOAIGAUKAEAIFAEMQEAIHBIEQCBYFAI
I wish the trailer was more informative, but they did say there was going to be a gameplay overview tomorrow (at a dedicated Ubisoft stream). I guess I’ll reserve judgement till then…
The atmosphere and visuals of the trailer were incredible, although it would have been nice if they showed off some gameplay footage. It’s not clear to me how “in-engine” cinematics will translate to the actual game. I haven’t played the first game, though. Would people recommend checking it out before the sequel comes out?
Perhaps! This should be triggered by searching “!boston@lemmy.world” from lemmy.ml, correct?
Yeah possibly! I think the second issue I mentioned is still occurring, though. Namely, lemmy.ml/c/boston@lemmy.world returns a 404 error (and also for Kbin.social).
Certain communities seem to be inaccessible from Lemmy.world and vice versa. For instance, if I try to access /c/boston in Lemmy.ml via lemmy.world/c/boston@lemmy.ml, I get a “404: couldnt_find_community” error. Similarly, trying to access /c/boston in Lemmy.world from either Kbin.social (via kbin.social/m/boston@lemmy.world) or Lemmy.ml (via lemmy.ml/c/boston@lemmy.world) both give 404 errors.
Yeah, I can imagine it being incredible for racing games. I guess most racing games all allow simultaneous kb/joystick?
Are there any unexpected benefits you found of the optical switch vs. the classic mechanical switches?
I think that would be great! I’m sure it’s more difficult than it seems, though, to port over the entire backend to Lemmy, especially with its decentralized nature. Also I’m sure Christian is a bit burnt out after the Reddit fiasco, so I can’t fault him for taking a breather.
