I just can’t believe the left’s strategy of being holier than thou Karens that ain’t half as smart as they think they are, and covering that with moral outrage meant to dissuade anyone from thinking too critically, has backfired.
Anecdotalish, but I’m not american. People I know work in the states for a period of time tend to mention they gain weight while in the states for a time, and then lose it when they get home, back to baseline, and they really can’t quite put their finger on why. I figure corn syrup. It’s like as subtle as the HP sauce, the stuff in England has a different recipe than the American, white vinegar, orange juice concentrate, corn syrup etc in the American one, basically cheaper ingedients, the English original has a subtler, less vinegar harsh, smokier flavour.
If it was say fruit, or beer in a bar, one isn’t counted that close bulk and the other, you could just wait till you sell six and then ring it through as a six pack to go.
Oh look, the socialist doesn’t like a working knowledge of recent history. Transferable vote systems and proportional aren’t all that that common. and an example of the possible results less than a hundred years ago isn’t irrelevant. I’ve looked at the systems before, and quite often the result of the formulas used is a majority of someone no one really wanted.
Research the Weimar Republic. Getting rid of first past the post, can have the opposite effect, giving the crazies more power than they would under first past. Fringe groups, especially left leaning, always want transferrable vote or proportional because that way they’d get more representation but they always seem to ignore it can backfire.
This just seems weird. it’s a “study” but it’s just some guys making a list of hurricanes that exceeded 192 mph winds and saying “these should be in their own category”, and I’m assuming they didn’t pick 200 mph because the list would then be too small. Use survivorship bias in your favour. I’ve a fridge from 1953, wonderful 60s gas stove, a can opener from 1915, pickup from 1983, motorcycle from 1969 etc.
