  • Man, it must be great living in such a simple world, where you can just be a normal fucking person, then vote, and all of a sudden you’re fighting fascism!

It’s like a delusion of grandeur. In fact, I think that’s exactly what it is now that I think about it.

Feels great to be able to fight fascism without ever having to pick up a kalashnikav.

  • After thinking about it for a while, not having any special knowledge, but being in the tech field, I feel like this is the most likely scenario.

In the States, where can you find old stuff from the 90s anymore? That was before I was using the internet heavily, but things like GeoCities and other meta websites have gone down or basically only exist in archives now.

I realize that the article never said that China is purposefully pulling these websites down just that they seem to be disappearing. This is conspiracy theory code for we’re just asking questions. But if I had heard an American say, hey, why are these old 90s websites coming down? Isn’t that suspicious? Isn’t our government being totalitarian? I would definitely just say no, that’s just how the internet really works, Things come down, nothing lasts forever.

  • Okay legit is there any evidence of slave labor? What do the libs point too when asked?

When i did some searching the only thing i could find was the job placement program that people go through after the education centers in xinjiang.

Obviously they are all closed now, So there’s no good excuse there now. Even gm failed to find forced labor in xinjiang recently.

But anything else? Or just your standard sinophobic stuff?

  • jokes aside I really honestly want to use this. For a while I’ve been trying to use extra context to get American AIs to understand and be more pro communist and they are just fucking trained to hate it.

To be fair they usually end up becoming neutral, but they don’t speak in a pro communist lens like I’m trying to get them to.

Super duper wish we in U$A get to use this.

  • I use freetube on desktop and grayjay on mobile.

Greyjay will also read from multiple sources, like patreon and nebula, and now including Bilibili, which is interesting to see content from. I think they have like a dozen sources that they are compatible with now.

Both have had constant access to YouTube for over a year now. YouTube likes kicking off those third parties…

Freetube will fall back to invidious instance(s) if YouTube fails to load. So even if YouTube is messing with them, you get something. You can turn that off if it gives you trouble.

It’s a pain to manage my subscriptions across two different systems. But they both read and write to newpipe subscription streams, So I can export and import between them that way. Oh, and newpipe is another option for mobile. I’ve had problems with them, they tend to get blocked a lot. But I haven’t used them recently, they might be better now.

  • I feel like in spite of all of the insane propaganda around China, people are actually starting to learn the truth.

Even the most lukewarm libs I know have at least come to an understanding that, hey, China has some capitalism, but it’s very well controlled, and maybe that’s better than what we have. Like having the Golden Stock owner be able to veto any stupid decisions and the most recent decision to require that there are Employee democratically led leaders on the board of directors.

It’s a stepping stone. Those people still don’t consider themselves socialists or communists, but at least one of them considers themselves a democratic socialist, which is still Libshit, but at least it’s a step in the right direction.

  • Patsocs break my brain.

I have a difficult handle on anarchism. It doesn’t help that there’s more than one definition, really. But… patsocs… they just dont make any sense whatsoever.

Are they really communists that have succumbed to the alt-right talking points? Are they the alt-right that are trying to use communist language in their rhetoric? Are they just fucking confused? Because I am.

  • I’m always suspicious of these tech farms because it costs a lot of electricity to run those LEDs to produce the amount of energy needed for food.

In America, these would just be used to make more corn that would be used to create biofuels that would be used to run the generators that would be used to run the LEDs. The whole goddamn thing would run at a loss, but a lot of people would make a lot of money in the meantime.

Oops got mad at capitalism again haha.

    Anyway…

It does seem like they’re doing it the right way. Producing foods that they can’t normally produce year-round or producing foods that They can’t produce much of normally.

They also talked about using it for starter plants which is a good idea. And I’m sure experiments are much better in a consistent environment like that.

    Woop woop!
