“thanks for the gold, kind stranger”
Reddit was already full of repost bots and karma farmers when the only reward was fake internet points, the site will become completely unusable if they add real money into the mix
Upvote = “I like this”
Boost = “I think other people will like this”
What types of games are you playing? Sounds like you are describing a generic AAA “live service” game, there are plenty of fun games but you have to search for them in a sea of soulless corporate cashgrabs. I would recommend trying games by smaller developers. If you want to play with friends I would recommend indie co-op games like risk of rain 2 or deep rock galactic. Or maybe you are just burnt out on gaming? Never hurts to take a break, try another hobby for a bit and come back reinvigorated
I upvote my own stuff because on reddit something having 0 upvotes means someone downvoted it, so i associate having 0 points as “bad” even though that doesn’t make sense here because downvotes are shown separately :D force of habit
Either platinuming sekiro or beating devil may cry 5 on dante must die difficulty, I’m not sure which is better. Platinum sounds more impressive, but according to steam achievement stats dmc5 dmd is rarer so I guess I’ll pick that one

lol I didn’t realize it was dark reader I just thought that upvotes were bugged on mobile :D thanks for pointing that out, now I can actually see what I have upvoted
I can’t pick one so here’s some of my favorites:
Ludwig, the Holy Blade
Devils Never Cry
Tenebre Rosso Sangue
The Hot Wind Blowing
And of course, Bury The Light
Fedditors is good because it also includes lemmy users
I’m much younger so I never really got to use these smaller forums, I grew up with a centralised and corporate internet where everyone used the same handful of websites. And then began the enshittification. All the sites I used started getting worse with every update so I stopped using them one by one, with the most recent one being reddit. Moving to the fediverse made me realise just how little I was actually enjoying those sites. I wasn’t browsing them for content or for discussion, I was browsing them because I was addicted. Uninstalling the apps and deleting my accounts has done wonders for my mental health, and the smaller community here is so much nicer and more welcoming than the toxic ocean that is social media.
This should have been the first response instead of the unhinged rant Linus posted on the forum. If they actually go through with the things they said in the video and fix their workflows and communication issues this should be a big boost to LTT’s reliability as a source. Good on GN for giving Linus the reality check he desperately needed. Would have been nice to hear something about Madisons allegations, but they probably scheduled the video to go live before madison posted them. Hopefully they make a follow up video about them.
