If you are actually interested there was movement, not sure if still going, a few years ago called financial independence. It was r/financialindependence. One of their influencers was Mr Money Moustache. You can look that up if you want

And some rocks
You only need 4. 1 for each shelf. Take 2 out, put 2 trays in. While baking, transfer hot biscuits to wire cooling rack. Load up new trays. Endless biscuits
The back of my Australian olive oil. All our food and drink has this, except alcohol which they regulate differently.
It wouldn’t be legal, as in enforceable through a court. But they would be within their rights to refuse to treat you again if you didn’t pay it
Thanks so much. I’m going to check it out tomorrow
Really? Can it integrate with Google drive? I might have to check this out.
I have to draw on pdfs (think, check things are correct, tick and cross things) and currently download from Google drive, use foxit, then reupload.
However foxit has commenced down the enshitification path (previously free features like pdf bookmarks now behind a pay wall), so I’m looking for alternatives.
I use it because it has what I want.
It has my local community group who discuss ideas and plan events. It has my mother’s group who only use Facebook messenger to communicate. It has my extended family who live overseas. If I left and asked them to send me pictures I would only get a few a year, this way I see pics every week.
Do I hate the idea of it? Yes. Would I like to delete my account? Yes. Is the trade-off worth it for me to stay? Also yes.
I had that happen to a team member (me as a manager). She came to give me notice, the pay jump was huge. 45k to 70k. I loved her and I tried to swing it with my boss, but the ultimate answer was no and she left. I hope she is happy now. She really was awesome and I wish she stayed working for me, but I’m happy for her. She was a single mom to 2 teenagers so there’s no way she couldn’t accept that money
At least units/condos have enough parking. Here they approve sky scrapers of 3 bedroom units with 2 car parks in tiny streets. Those then get rented to 3-5 people (after allowing for couples) and these tiny streets become smaller with overcrowded parking.
Wow. Non American here. My kid regularly eats while I shop. I just bring empty packets to register for them to scan and they normally throw them out for me. No problem. Like zero problem.
I don’t even think our police would show up if they were called. They take 3hrs to turn up to a home invasion, so I doubt they’d show up for a banana. This is a crazy level of policing.
Solar system warming
So THAT’S how we came up with number 1 and number 2
Monthly account fee of $40, waived for on time payments.
I have fond memories of sitting drunk on a driveway waiting for the promised cab for hours. Because if they drive up and didn’t see you, they were gone.
Love takeoff. It’s amazing when you really think about it.
They do to cheetahs
It’s always been a joke for middle and old age. We are just aging into these jokes
My mother had breast cancer. I couldn’t get a test to see if it was the inheritable one because then I would have to disclose it as pre-existing for the rest of my life. (For the record my mom took the genetic test and it was negative).
This is just one example.
What if in future, your insurance price depended on an inheritable diseases DNA clearance. You could refuse but then it would be $$$$$. What if my life insurance refused to pay upon my death because I had knowledge of a gene that causes cancer when I took out the policy?
PS not American.
When I quit my supermarket job after getting my accounting degree my manager tried to convince me to stay, saying they had plans to promote me into management and eventually I could work my way into a head office position.
Umm, no thanks, I think I’ll take the job that I’ve been working towards getting for years.
