This comment reminded me of Supply Side Jesus: https://www.beliefnet.com/news/2003/09/the-gospel-of-supply-side-jesus.aspx
To be fair, the overwhelming majority of people regardless of age don’t know what LaTeX or markdown are. Not the best examples. I’m a millennial with a 4 year STEM degree and I maybe used LaTeX once because it was required, and before Discord became a thing, I’d never heard of markdown. Most people who use Discord probably don’t even know it supports markdown.
It’s extra ironic since the scale goes from 1 to 5 with 3 being in the middle and 1 being nukes are dropping.
Oh I see! Yeah that is a bit strange
My guess is it’s for the women’s restroom because when bathrooms are busy, most women just wait for a stall door to open and don’t always bend over to look under the doors to see if they’re even occupied. It’s also probably hard to see from a distance if the stall is occupied or not and nobody wants to be the one to shamefully walk back to the line because they had to get closer to check.
Cute comic, but for the unaware:
According to John Ciribassi, DVM, DACVB, the problem with laser pointers is that they lack an endpoint. Nothing is ever physically caught. Even if the cat is “successful,” there’s no reward. Such pointless play, says Dr. Ciribassi, can cause some cats to develop a compulsive disorder.

Shouldn’t it be Nightmon?
I’d believe this with how much I see Steve-O drinking it on his YouTube channel. The dude made a point to drive a whole ass vending machine of Liquid Death across the country to his new home lol. At his previous home in California, it was apparently up against the coping of the half pipe in his backyard so you could do trick off of it.
Everyone else already said you are constricted before swallowed, but even if you weren’t, it would take the snake several minutes to even ingest you. It’s a very slow process. There are tons of videos on YouTube of it.
Vitamin D deficiency as well!
Nearly 42% of adults in the United States have a vitamin D deficiency. This figure rises to almost 63% in Hispanic adults and 82% in African American adults.

If your shadow is longer than you are tall, you are not getting enough ultraviolet radiation to produce vitamin D. You need about 15 minutes a day.
Some of the symptoms are fatigue and depression
@ch00f@lemmy.world said, “Even if it was free…” which implies he’s talking specifically about the paid button on the right and not the free button on the left.
The implication being even if the chilled and filtered water was also free, having to open an app for the button to work would be bullshit.
It “clearly” says, “USE APP TO ACCESS”, so no, you can’t just push the button. It has to verify your subscription first.
I had never heard Trent Reznor’s original or Johnny Cash’s cover so thank you for mentioning it. What an incredible music video!
There’s a dirty secret in your glass of orange juice. Even though it says “not from concentrate,” it probably sat in a large vat for up to year with all the oxygen removed from it. This allows it to be preserved and dispensed all year-round. Taking out all the O2 also gets rid of all the flavor. So the juice makers have to add the flavors back in using preformulated recipes full of chemicals called “flavor packs.” Mmm, delicious, fresh-squeezed ethyl-butyrate!
There are apparently dozens of us!
Name of the app/service?
Well that’s an interesting coincidence! I’m using the same iPhone on what I assume is the same app Voyager.
This is the first I’ve heard of a butter bell. I’ve been leaving salted butter out for years, but I bought a glass food storage container with a snap on lid that is basically the exact size of a stick of butter. I suppose it’s accomplishing almost the same thing, although a tiny amount of air does get inside especially as the stick is eaten.
