Tech is a boogie man to many executypes. I’ve seen plenty of IT pros that were in over their head but smooth enough con men. If they keep coming up with things to throw money at/trim money out of convincingly they have long and successful careers.

This just in, online communities are a circle jerk.
It’s to be expected.
And this is why you VPN.
It isn’t consistent in the US. Some landlords or properties include utilities in the price of rent, some don’t. Some only include things like trash/water/sewer and it’s up to you to source an electric/gas/internet provider.
Hasn’t that been the strategy for several decades?
It sounds like you could use just about any modern portable and be satisfied.
I see you mentioned POTV devices in some other replies. Those are generally known to punch above their price point, offering excellent price to performance options. The Lobo is basically a value priced Crafty/Mighty+, with some options that even the name brand doesn’t offer, like swappable batteries. I think you’d be quite happy with one.
If you’d rather go for more “premium” options the Crafty+ would also be a great choice, but some people find S&B heating to cause a tickle in the throat (the “Bickel tickle”) they don’t like. The Firewood and Angus lines are also well regarded and widely used.
Is portability a requirement or do you only plan on using it at home?
What kind of user would you consider yourself? Do you prefer longer sessions or quick extractions?
Portables have come a long way and there are multiple types of heating methodology. Some are faster or slower than others but offer smoother hits or larger chambers, etc.

I use Kagi with the unlimited search paid version. Whether it’s my own needs, friends, family, etc, I always seem to be the one doing the searching for everyone I interact with. After years of Google feeding more and more sponsored links into the results I switched to DDG, and after about 6 months of finding their results lackluster I tried Kagi.
For me, it works. I don’t know that I’ll use it forever or anything but at the moment it does a better job of getting me reliable results within the first few sites and I can move on with my day. I just need quick, accurate search results. So far Kagi has been that.
I did the free trial thing a couple times to see how it worked before paying and I’d suggest that to anyone thinking about switching. Give it a week or two on trial accounts and if it sucks then it probably isn’t for you.
Greed knows no bounds.
Pretty soon probably.
This must be true since I read about it on the line.

Propaganda is powerful.
I’m on the latest beta build and I can’t replicate your crash.
Your first link errors out for me, the second one takes me to the comments with the giant image. This is what I see, no crashing after being there several minutes but the image doesn’t seem to show.
If I actually click the post the image loads like normal.
This has been my experience as well. In the past friends and family were more reluctant to break away from whatever their default communication app was. These days most people are already familiar with the idea of using one thing to text, another to “message”, and often more than that. I’ve had great success converting people to more secure platforms now that they understand the process.
