Gordon Freeman.
It’s because it’s only bad if the opposition is furnished with those abilities.
No president Left, Right or otherwise would relinquish such power. They’d complain about an opponent gaining it but would see nothing wrong with having it themselves.
I couldn’t see any government shying away at a chance to have more power.
He’d probably call in SEAL Team 6 and tell them to ‘beat Medicare’.
Jokes aside, it’s really quite upsetting to see an old man mentally decline so quickly and publicly. I just hope that those around him will usher him away from the spotlight in a dignified manner if it gets bad enough.
Mental decline and/or Alzheimer’s/dementia are fucking cruel. It’s awful to watch a loved one go like that and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
Maybe “dickheadification” instead?
When I’m struggling with a problem it helps me to explain it to my dog. It’s great for me to hear it out loud and if he’s paying attention, I’ve got a needlessly learned dog!
I didn’t know about the grain or rabbit tests. At least the rabbits got off the hook when the frogs presented themselves as a better option, I suppose.
So sensitive in fact that a really common type of pregnancy test basically involved exposing a particular type of frog to human female urine. The frog being so sensitive to the presence of certain hormones would begin to ovulate if the urine sample was from a pregnant woman.
Really interesting but a bit of a shit lot in life for the frog!
Not going to bother resurrecting Euronymous?
Okay.
Not everyone was drafted, you bell end. Plenty were there because they signed up.
I’m not bothered about what the US military has or hasn’t done, frankly. I wasn’t talking about the whole history of war, just that particular war and the alies, specifically.
And how do you know I’ve done nothing to fight fascism, anyway?
Stop being a sourpuss.
Yeah, the name makes it quite self evident. What’s not the same is what they’ve managed to do about fascism, particularly in Europe.
Apparently so.
I never said I didn’t serve and how would that matter exactly? Have you actually served fighting against fascism? Did you serve in WW2? You may have seen some shit but surely you wouldn’t like protesters being awarded with the same kind of reverence a soldier gets?
If some of these protesters haven’t served maybe they should shut up too because they don’t seem to know anything. You’re just using your service to lend credence to your non-argument.
I don’t think it’s proper to equate protestors with war heroes and I’m wrong because you’ve served. Okay, I’m convinced.
I like how you instantly assume I’m an American just how you instantly assume I’m some kind of fascist because I think equating antifa with war heroes is distasteful.
“Oh yeah? What about the ones who died propping up fascist regimes in Korea and Vietnam?”
I was talking about those who were landing on the beaches and by extension the allies of WW2 in general, as was the OP image. You can’t just try to expand the scope of what I said to try to make it sound like I praise all dead soldiers regardless of the cause. We were talking about fighting against fascism.
I’ve heard numerous firsthand accounts of what it was like on those beaches, I’ve been to protests and I’ve been pepper sprayed before. They’re far from the same thing. I’m just working with the information that I personally have. If you think that the two are in fact comparable, I’d like to hear your reasoning.
If I “don’t know up from down” in terms of what I’m talking about would you like to elaborate instead of just telling me to stop?
Fair point but it’s barely the same thing. One’s for the greater good and one’s for oneself.
A moron for thinking it’s improper to compare political protestors with war heroes.
I’m standing on nobody’s back or claiming to have any kind of moral high ground. Merely stating that antifa haven’t done enough so far towards their goal and thinking that maybe comparing them to people who died (or could have died) in combat is quite insulting.
Maybe thinking it’s okay to murder someone and burn down a school for telling people not to vote is a very fascist position.
I’m not American and have no dog in this fight but it’s fascinating to see it unfold and how blindly fanatical and willfully ignorant both sides can be.
If a Rep punches a Dem they’ll justify it as self defense or something. If a Dem punches a Rep it’s “okay to punch a Nazi”. Even seeing how both sides interpreted the presidential debate was ridiculous. Reps ignoring all of Trump’s lies and inability to give a direct answer to a question and a lot of the more fanatical Dems willfully ignoring Biden’s obviously declining mental state.
Reps caught up in a cult of personality and Dems willing to vote for anybody that isn’t Trump. It’s quite scary to see how easily each side can dehumanise the other while thinking they’re correct and morally superior.
The way both sides pardon their own calls to violence can’t lead to anything good. If ‘the other’ said or did something you consider to be completely heinous and you’d justify it or praise it were the roles reversed then maybe introspection is in order.
Of course violence is sometimes necessary but there seems to be growing bloodthirstiness from the extremes of the Left and the Right and I fear what might happen in November.
I’m sure I’ll be downvoted to fuck but that’s just an apolitical outsider’s perspective.
