Not saying we’re not into it :D
Just that there’s stuff besides that then men certainly wouldn’t enjoy. I don’t think anyone here cares about lashes or what eyeshadow palette just released lmao

Yep as someone based in Australia I’m also missing AusFinance as the US instance wouldn’t even apply to us due to regional differences. Unfortunately Reddit will stay relevant for a long time for niche topics, but I still enjoy Lemmy for everything tech related & memes.
They tend to be more interested in girly fluff topics like skincare, nail art, weddings, jewellery & guru gossip

Great, I’ll be expecting your participation in /skincare, weddingplanning, engagementrings, kpopthoughts, indiemakeupandmore, …
The issue is that some of them already have instances, but only 1 sub so I’d be talking to myself all day long
The female userbase is virtually non-existent and until that changes I’m forced to stay on Reddit for relevant news and financial advice.
OnePlus 10 Pro on OxygenOs 13.1
I like it better than stock android, and while it’s not perfect I don’t dislike it enough to want to switch. OnePlus 1 came with CyanogenMod out of the box which was super fun at the time.
I mainly stick with OP for the 100W fast charging, otherwise I’d be happy to switch to Xiaomi or Huawei for better value
I hate the amount of people telling me to just start my own sub when I mention that I miss Reddit’s variety. As if it was piss easy to get a whole community rolling by yourself
Meeting the physiologically most basic needs for survival is never an addiction.
Yup, created my account a month ago but found it a hassle to navigate on mobile, and actively started commenting the moment sync dropped
Does it matter to the average user? I’m simply giving numbers to put into perspective the lengths people will go for an ad-free experience
When people buy premium, they’re not doing it to support Google’s servers, they’re paying to get rid of ads at a whopping $14 per month when they could be using the app for free
How so? Also Spotify Premium at $13/mo when there’s a free version supported by ads
$20 to get rid of ads forever on an app that you use daily is a fair price. No one gets lynched for subscribing to YouTube premium for $14/mo just to get rid of ads
Switch 2 OLED coming in 2028
Keep in mind China has a much tighter family structure where children look after their elderly parents (and often live under the same roof), and in return grandparents provide free childcare so both parents are able to work full time. Nursing homes are not incredibly common but it might become a bigger problem as more and more young people move away from their family in the countryside to work in the bigger cities.
Pretty good. My mum’s living in Shanghai (most populous city in China) and has been a pensioner for 20 years. It’s enough money to get by and now that she’s 70 she also receives monthly coupons for her neighbourhood canteen (although food is already very cheap)
