I (Brazilian) told my fiance (German) that the EU is “A Colony Plus,” in the sense they’re also allowed to exploit other poorer nations, but will be thrown under the bus when convenient - as what happened with Nordstream showed him. To be fair, a lot of US and NATO military commanders are pissed that the Ukrainians are “afraid of casualties.” So it wouldn’t be a surprise if the yankees didn’t genuinely believe the Estonians would be willing to die for NATO.
