Not yet another platform to bleed my wallet dry.

I mean, I’d agree with you, but the humans that actually aren’t a threat to the planet, that lived in homeostasis with the Earth, barely exist anymore, the humans with flags saw to that.
For the record yes, the developed world’s quality of life should be much, much, much, lower, and the very concept of economic growth/metastasis should be a widely accepted slur at this point, as it’s killing us.
Part of not being a threat to Earth is also not building and maintaining, let alone growing a massive military industrial complex, which means being destroyed by humans that want your shit and don’t care about the future doing it, so it’s a paradox.
Market capitalism is destroying us, our homes, and literally our only habitat.
Their guard gates are mostly decorative. We could save our species and the habitability of the planet.
Instead some think we can petition the government they’ve fully owned for half a century to mitigate the harm they bought our government to commit with abandon, lol.
Why? We’re all about validating cruelty under the guise of because the Bible tells me so.
The US, my shithole of birth, will do whatever is in the economic interests of the owner class, and Israel is sadly a very good customer and business partner. But yeah, the politicians will absolutely thump a bible in front of some idiot constituents to keep selling it.
It’s tradition.
Honestly, in the course of our species living in servitude to a few thousand sociopaths who’ve used their capital/power to convince us that meaningless productivity for toxic economic metasisis is “the only way forward” and the meaning of life, I’ve come to realize their terraforming of our only habitat against our physically fragile species in their blind, reckless pursuit of ever moar is a purely accidental mercy.
Extinction is far preferable to generation after generation sacrificing themselves from cradle to grave solely to enrich our modern pharoahs of avarice and their nepo progeny without end. Sometimes extinct is better.
You’re free to disagree, of course, but better to see the silver lining in what our species is quite literally dead set to do and well into accomplishing. Im just glad greed caused climate change won’t permit this torturous, exploitative civilization to continue for more than another half century or so.
Weird line considering what we’re willing to do to nation states to keep their citizens from cooperating socially rather than competing against one another to keep their resource extraction rights open to our capitalists for maximum exploitation.
The planet does.
Fewer humans is always a win for the planet long term, the only entity we are basically united as a species in generational war against. The only entity we by actions hate more than ourselves and each other. We’re the worst biological catastrophe to evolve since the trees of the Carboniferous period that captured too much carbon before the bacteria that could decompose them had evolved, but unlike those trees that lacked agency, we do the vodoo that we do by choice.
I dislike my species a little more each day, based on our actions of said day. It’s quite cathartic in the face of such madness to remember that our mother will win that war she didn’t instigate against her ungrateful little brat mistake of evolution, and she will recover from that mistake in no time to the Earth, just a couple million years in its 3.8 billion year history of almost entirely homeostatic life. It will be as if all the world’s religions and cultures of manipulative avarice never existed at all.
Thats a happy ending. The world will have peace once more. Anyway, how bout this October heat?
Breathtaking, aren’t they? It’s a common misconception that they roamed our planet. The truth is, they rolled. Street-style mostly. Some vert.
And if this somehow fails impress you, we sold over 200 billion in tools of mass murder to the rest of the world last year alone as well!
Murica 🇺🇸, profiting off human misery since our inception, the British Empire apparently passed that torch.
If you did, you’d almost certainly have been taught some bullshit revisionist fiction showing friendly US officials probably eating with the Lingít people and teaching them how to do what the Lingít excelled at.
Honestly given the indignity, it’s probably better they aren’t mentioned in our K-12 “history”
Incremental change would have been fine in the 1970s when the world should have instituted it, including incrementally reducing industry to absolute necessities like medical products, and individual developed world quality of life, to find homesotasis with our only habitat.
Now it’s smash the factories today, and accept the hundreds of millions dead breaking those poisonous supply chains, including possibly ourselves, for humanity to have any non-nightmarish future on a planet we terraformed to be hostile towards Human life for the next couple million yers.
But having absolutely failed to institute incremental change half a century ago despite warning, and absolutely failing to take drastic action now that we are just beginning to feel our irreversible fine work, our species clearly and resolutely chooses no future/nightmare susbsistance future, or at the very least there wouldn’t be a pop figure/pointless plastic crap factory left standing in the world. 🔥🤷♂️🔥
What I find the most ridiculous is what we’re doing: resolutely choosing death by actions, while still strangely preaching hope for a future. WuT a weird fucking species we were.
Pew pew Murica Pew Pew.
This is who we are, and the world should judge us accordingly for our unrepentant murderous barbarism thinly masked as “freedumb.”
Don’t worry my fellow Americans, our only practiced cultural value, greed, won’t be injured by the latest mass shooting, it makes private gun manufacturer stocks go up, which is of course the meaning of existence.
🇺🇸💹
Ah yes, more of that voluntary nature of capitalism they like to crow about.
In 100-200 years, this will be humanity’s legacy.
The treatment.
Cures don’t create dependency on the ones that sold the sickness.
We have defunded schools without enough teachers, school supplies, etc because the wealthy use the inane amount of capital they hoard to buy local government to cut their taxes. Then they set up Charter school escape hatches for some kids that they then profit from from publicly traded charter management companies. Those kids did nothing to deserve being caught up in their greed disease.
We have economic segregation from the cradle. That’s no fucking better. Making more money should let you have a bigger car/house/TV/widgets, but we let some make so much that they use it as a cudgel to extract more from us to our detriment. Fuck their employee’s kids, theirs goes to a private school so starve the commons your company operates on but doesn’t want to pay for.
But believe the dream all you like. Not like there’s hope since we’re literally terraforming the planet against being hospitable to our very physically vulnerable species for millions of years.
Because capital is an expression of power beyond material needs/wants, and even government can’t effectively govern a class of people that have enough capital to bribe officials en masse to literally bend the laws and regulations to their wills, including to make their bribery perfectly legal as they succeeded in doing here.
That’s why fiscal conservatives were so aroused by the idea of making government, the government that is supposed to protect the citizenry from the whims of those with more power, “small enough to drown in the bathtub.” They succeeded. Our government is subservient to Wall Street’s dictates because we let a few citizens accumulate enough, and shrunk government oversight enough, to turn it into just another acquisition to manipulate to maximize short term private profit.
