I have a standing every 2 years on each of my 2 10k gallon tanks. Each year, one gets pumped. That means they both get checked regularly.
Even if it costs $200 for the appointment, it’s worth it to know. They can also likely tell you the size and what they suggest for your situation. They should be able to schedule it for you so you don’t need to remember.
FWIW, ask around to find a reliable, honest septic service provider. Ask your neighbors. Ask your plumber. Ask at the hardware store (if you have an independent or franchise, not a big box. Ask at the plumbing supply store.
Can you still do some prn work if you take the desk job? In my opinion, you should work while you can now to earn what you can now, and take the experience while there are opportunities. Later, you can get the desk job, but for more money, since you’re more experienced. Also, there are opportunities in research/real world evidence/device manufacturers/ software companies outside the healthcare systems for experienced clinicians like yourself (even fully remote ones).
Maybe this current role isn’t perfect for you, but it started you wondering, and that’s good.

They hid fees in prescriptions- $17 for 30 pills and $15 for 4 more because there’s a $12 dispensing fee hidden in every prescription. It took them a year to finally explain it to me. They fired me as a client (after 20+ years) when I questioned them. Find an independent clinic and support them!

Go try on more boots… there are hundreds of styles. Go to a place that has lots and knowledgeable people to help you. And don’t tie them so tightly.
I do. It means peace and quiet. It means a reasonable price for housing. It means learning some skills to maintain your place yourself. It means being more self-sufficient. It means you have to plan ahead because shopping is a 1x a week event, not a daily thing.
It also means people visit less and either are amazed at how much you have “out here,” or are astounded you can live “out here.”
I bought a new microwave in 2007 to replace the 1989 model I had since college. It could boil water in under 10 minutes. It had sensor cooking and preset modes. It was life changing.
