My boss told me privately that my coworker had a case of delhi belly, he then repeated this a couple of days later to a meeting with 10-15 people in
He’s also made comments about people who receive welfare, and about people who he manage’s salaries (he’s done this about me to other people as well). This is for a global american company but we’re based around the world
Very frustrating and not sure what to do. I’m probably going to share this with my coworker on Monday but yeah should I talk to HR or something. I’m in a position where I’d end up homeless if I lost this job
Hey homie, I don’t think it’s worth doing anything with this. It’ll 100% make your position more precarious to bring it up to HR.
I understand that it’s probably right to make a complaint here, but the juice isn’t worth the squeeze to me. HR’s not going to fire your boss, and he’s not going to change his behavior.
I’d just let this fuel the fire of your hatred for capitalism (and him) a little more, and look around for jobs a bit.
Maybe sign him up for a subscription to Watchtower or steal his cat or something.
Watchtower or steal his cat or something
LOL
ok thanks for your advice, should i still even tell my coworker about it?
Prob not, but do give her some advice on not revealing personal info on coworkers. Some people understand way too late that coworkers are not your buddies, especially on big corporations.
But thats just me, i had really bad experiences with coworkers so i had to be very careful with my words.
idk, I guess if you’re friendly with them, maybe!
about people who he manage’s salaries
If you want to talk to HR, make sure you mention this. They probably will only performatively care about the boss being an asshole, but he’ll get in trouble for that one.
ok thanks, it wasn’t really like numbers it was more like oh we got x on for really cheap
edit: x is me 🙃
Stay away from HR, they’re there to protect the company. The only way they could be useful would be if he was putting the company at risk. Otherwise they’ll turn on you.
🫡 understood
Keep it in your backpocket that you’re getting paid below market wage though. Useful when negotiating an annual raise. It’s nice to know ahead of time that management thinks they got you cheap lol
Oh damn, lol. He’s not supposed to say that but it doesn’t sound like it’s going to set off alarms at HR either.
