In Finnish we have “kissanristiäiset” (literally means a cat’s christening), which means some trivial and meaningless celebration/event.

- Going off like prawns in the sun/frog in a sock (really good time or a raving loony)
- mad as a cut snake (Karen)
- I could eat the arse out of a dead rhino/dingo (really hungry)
