Nope. We’re the 49th state in the union, the only state north of the 49th parallel, and we exist isolated from the contiguous united states which is composed of 48 states.

Also Hawaii is the 50th state and an island chain also separate from mainland USA so they get to remain free of the title of “lower 48er” even though they’re technically below us.

So all in all, not even football can shake Alaskan pride in calling lower 48ers lower 48ers
