Speaking of “not all Nazis are bad”, didn’t the main character in The Sound Of Music literally have the hots for a Nazi? I always thought that movie was fucked up, like it shows the cute blonde family playing in the grassy mountains at the end, but kinda doesn’t address any feelings of guilt they may have. Like I heard that most people didn’t know about the Holocaust until deep into the war, but the movie was made way after WW2, so we know what happened and that the ending is ANYTHING but HAPPY for the vast majority of people involved. So even if the characters don’t feel guilty, the audience damn well better.Has anyone who’s seen it more recently know if they have a sort of reveal that the Nazis are genuinely evil or is it like a Hogan’s Heroes thing where they’re just sorta mean?

there was a lib part where they just asked the nazi to not be a nazi lol
The western allies didn’t even ask for that much.
no, actually, it was a requirement on the job offer
Yep, lol. Literally when they took Ukrainians into Canada, a way of proving they were anti-communist was to show their SS tattoo.
