      If I follow the link in the text, it’s an automatic download. When I follow the “headline link” it takes me to the site.

          Hmmm. Ok, I’m using the mobile client Liftoff not the web. Maybe Liftoff is doing some link processing specifically to prevent direct downloads in “headlines”.

            Oh interesting! And ya, my instance has a good WPA (my opinion) but no other apps, so I am using the web. I haven’t tried it on my computer.
