No it’s not. You are saying you are fine running a program not made for Linux on Linux. That in no way promotes the growth of Linux. It promotes a kludge, a culture of ‘good enough’ for a pile of dog crap that is going to break sooner or later. No wonder Linux can’t gain ground on the desktop.
