Image description: meme with the “so true” soyjak meme format.
Panel one: flag of zionist entity, soyjak who represents trans people, the pride flag, Palestine maoists?, Sockdems, Ieland says: Fuck off! I don’t believe in this zionist imperialist nonsense.
Panel two: kurdish flag, same soy from earlier: omg! Wholesome “indigenous” self determination!
Unrelated, but why do all soyjaks wear glasses and have neckbeards, distinguishing a character as bad based on features they can’t control is the same as making a bad character have a big nose.
Technically, one could argue you can control them as you could wear contacts and shave, respectively, whereas you can’t control nose size at all.
Nose jobs
*without getting surgery
Yk what, I’m not awake enough to argue about it, but the basic gist is that anyone can hold any opinion unrelated to what the person looks like, and using the looks of someone as a representation of a bad strawman, so what if someone doesn’t groom his neckbeard or wears glasses that don’t fit right? Does that matter on the inside? This might end up leading to more reactionary territories which I don’t like being seen as normal, I personally struggle seeing any imperfection in my image or voice and I can’t imagine amplifying that by being a representation of the “idiot” in the meme.
And also let’s not forget that soyjak originates from 4chan and in a lot of cases is traced from actual people.
I’m not saying it’s a good format by far, but it’s less wrong than racism.
Poor self care and discipline while always getting into the business of others?
It feels like a situation where a person can’t even take care of themselves, but demand that they be the arbiter and center of the conversation and morality.
A big nose is pretty much pure race propaganda, but a poor shave and ill fitting glasses is pretty universal.
Well you can argue that a person can just get a nose job
But that’s still innate to a person and pretty unchangeable unless you take extreme measures ( random surgery is not self care). Plus a poor shave is pretty universal, a nose shape is not.
Well, now does taking care of your looks relate to political opinions in any way? Also your idea of pretty universal is nah
Not to political opinions alone, but just to the act of not being able to take care of yourself, but imposing yourself and your opinions onto conversations nonetheless. Which are mostly pretty terrible.
But to each their own. Universal, will never mean 100% of course.
There’s a lot of reasons some people can’t “take care of themselves” for example I have to deal with unkept facial hair for days because of water shortages.
Try to be clearer with your words, I’m reading this as a personal offense
“Yourself” and those words are in the third person, I am not referring to you, especially with the context of the sentence before it. If you interpret it that way, then I apologize, but that’s not on me.
I don’t want to argue about this. We can just not agree and leave it at that. I’m perfectly fine with that.
UwU
I just hate wojaks in general they all look so fucking ugly
