Shit like this is exactly why I believe we need our own nation, and would literally rather be liquidated than consider assimilation. This reductionist horseshit always gets trotted out whether we start talking the need for self-determination and sovereignty as a nation unto ourselves, or whether we’re talking just reparations to keep the median income of Black households from hitting zero within my fucking lifetime. Has been that way, since almost every ‘stronghold’ of accrued money in our community got burned by roving lynch mobs.
