The game does have a story that is continuously going as well as galactic powers you can pledge yourself to and work for to push their influence. Aliens invading. All kinds of shit. But the story is stagnant on console now and isn’t updating. It’s just a status quo. Aliens aren’t invading as an example. They are out there and you can engage them but on PC they’re actively invading systems and needing a coordinated pushback.

Just get it on Steam for PC if you are inclined to play. It’s a fun game. I stopped about a year and a half ago (just looked the other day whilst perusing Steam Sale) for many reasons, but I’m sure I’ll be back to visit some day!

The Deluxe edition is now safely in my Steam library, lol, so I’m all set for when I eventually upgrade.
