Former U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday he had canceled a press conference scheduled for next week to release a report into the 2020 election in Georgia, saying his attorneys would put his arguments in court filings instead.

Trump said earlier this week that he would hold the press conference on Monday to release a detailed, 100-page report into what he described as “election fraud” in the state of Georgia during the 2020 election he lost to Democrat Joe Biden.

I have honestly seen other people tell someone to use it when it wasn’t obvious that they were being sarcastic.

I would love to accommodate everyone here on this issue but I don’t think it’s possible so how about if I think something might be too obscure wrt sarcasm, I’ll use it, but on other stuff I won’t. I know some folks whose first language isn’t English may appreciate it at times?

Satire is pretty much dead these days, but you can still communicate obvious sarcasm by really making it over-the-top.

If you don’t want to make it that strong, then I question the point of making the comment in the first place.
