Hey there, I tried many torrent sites but all of them either don’t accept registration or some other bogus reason I don’t understand …

For example I heard about Glodls torrents as a common place to upload torrents… However when I tried to register in their forum , later I received an email stating  “ Unfortunately the account you registered on Glotorrents community did not meet the membership requirements “

What are the membership requirements for Glotorrents community?

I am not able to  find out what are the membership requirements in their website or anywhere on the internet… this is so annoying and frustrating because I feel that every one can upload their torrents easily but this crap only happens to me…

I am having difficulty uploading a torrent because I don’t know any torrent website that would accept my registration and I tried a bunch, so it not just Glodls…

I also wanted to upload a piece of software that is nowhere in the internet but couldn’t find a popular site that would let me either

Hell I got banned from the tpb forums for asking if someone with an account would be kind enough to upload it

Yeah, Im not aware of Postman… how i can find it or how to use it…

“You can use i2p” as in install i2p the official software? I tried that years ago , then I became extremely confused because of it so I removed it… its the opposite of user friendly

I know i2p is a bit hard, but if you can figure out how to torrent you should be able to. I would recommend i2p+, which is a fork of i2p that is compatible with regular i2p but is easier to setup. Get the installer here: https://i2pplus.github.io/. If you are on linux, don’t worry about it being an exe, it is java and you can run it with “java -jar file.exe.” After that, you can open a browser and type localhost:7657. Set your proxy in your browser to localhost:4444, for the http and https settings. It may be different if you use chrome. Now you should be able to access tracker2.postman.i2p/. Don’t forget a slash at the end. Your browser won’t recognize it as a website without it. You will need the torrent client, i2psnark, which can be accessed on localhost:7657/i2psnark.

This may sound complicated, but the steps to install i2p boil down to:

        1. Download installer
        2. Run installer
        3. Access i2p dashboard through browser
        4. Configure your browser to use i2p

Just checking. Anyone can create an account, but uoad privileges there require an application. They have some basic requirements like upload speed, ability to leave things seeded after upload, etc.

I don’t know any details because I don’t have an account there. I just read whatever is available in the FAQ.

They don’t tell you what to submit to them… they don’t even tell you an application exists… I just want to seed a torrent publicly… WHY IS THIS SO HARD?!

            Take a deep breath…

If they let everyone upload, the place would likely go to shit really fast. Poor quality uploads, unseeded uploads, uploads that nobody can download because the seeder doesn’t have a decent internet connection, viruses, illegal images, you name it.

So of course there’s a process. It’s up to you to figure it out, so figure it out. The website that I found isn’t loading for me right now, but the last time I was looking at it, it was very easy to find the post explaining how it all works, and I don’t even have an account there.
