Thank you lol. It’s disheartening to see people up in arms (majority of MS related posts in the past week) spreading vague misinfo about a disableable feature when they are putting ads in the OS.
You’re correct, you have to find the settings (not near my pc but I think they’re in taskbar settings) after initial setup and you’ll see their “suggestions” until you do.

The ads in the OS are disableable as well. They just aren’t off by default, and are labeled something like “software suggestions” in the settings app.
valid information to know. i don’t think the ads can be turned off during the first boot setup process though, which is a key distinction here.
