    Personally, I have a pretty low bar for blocking other users here. If I find someone consistently annoying or negativistic I’m better off not seeing their posts, even if they’re not actively trolling. It’s not a public punishment or anything, they won’t be affected at all, and I get to spend less time reading content that doesn’t interest me.

      I do have an account almost like that. But that one mostly blocks communities and I filter only by subscription. I don’t usually block users, though. This account has almost no communities blocked lol.

      But yeah, I get where you’re coming from. That’s a good idea, tbh. Does kbin/lemmy show a user who has blocked him/her? Asking because some people may take it personally (like the one OP posted).
