Yes, I also really want a future of misinformation where everything is shit and it’s hard to find good information? What a great future that will be…

yeah, and that’s what it’s going to be.

We’re already seeing shit that gets into that level of shit. It’s only going to get worse. Politics is the prime example.

In some capacity, it’ll be beneficial to society, because now you can trust nothing, you can assume nothing, and you have to take EVERYTHING at face value, otherwise you got pwned by some kid fucking around with an AI. Which given the amount of political misinformation, and just misinformation in general that we consume, and repeat to others. Would be a net positive i think.

Fascinated that people are down voting my original comment, but whatever, that’s how the internet works. I like watching things burn because it forces people to give up their preconceptions, and i think that’s when we’re the most true to ourselves, the most authentic, genuine, and most socially functional.

Something i never really enjoyed was this weird sub behaviorism of some redditors to “reflexively downvote something because it’s bad” The amount of comments i saw from people who would accidentally downvote a post calling out a rapist for example, was something else. Never thought i would see a time in my life, where people mindlessly consumed to the point where that was a genuine take that actually happened.
