Trump bragged of winning both the club championship trophy and the senior club championship trophy at the Trump International Golf Club in Florida.

Biden tweeted from his personal account that it was “quite the accomplishment” for the former president to win a pair of trophies from his own club:

      I also like this one:

“Just the other day a defeated-looking man came up to me and said, ‘Mr. President, I have crushing debt, and I’m completely wiped out,’” Biden said at a fundraiser. “And I had to look at him and say, ‘Donald, I’m sorry. I can’t help you.’”

When you grow up you’ll realize mental gymnastics aren’t a physical action.

Which part of my comment would you say is disingenuine?

I’ll assume you understand metaphor/wordplay despite the jab.

You place Trump in remotely the same category as the “poors” which is comical. Obviously Biden doesn’t make this joke about moms on WIC, etc., ie the real poors. You use more charged language like “millionaire president”, but when was the last president who wasnt wealthy? What is your point? You can’t place the Bidens’ wealth remotely near the true robber barons, but thats what you attempt to evoke.

You have not presented facts, but rather used manipulative language endearing to Trump

I’m saying it’s poor messaging by the dems. This is ammo for Fox News and the like.

Not all criticism of the president is support for Trump.

Idk Biden making jibes and jokes makes him appear mentally with it which contrasts the fox news narrative. It’s not as mean spirited as Trump has been and even comes off as tongue in cheek IMO. I can see more positives than negatives, but I can also see it being spun by hacks, sure.

This particular joke was aimed at none other than Trump, so you saying this is Biden dunking on the poors does place you in a precarious position of calling Dolan a “poor” and defending him

Biden has been paid over 5 million dollars since 1990 by pro Israel groups. That’s what you’re celebrating here. The rich politician who’s aiding a genocide making fun of being poor…

that’s $150K a year over 30 years, and that’s aggregated from numerous groups. He’s raised something like 70 million in the last year alone. Is your point that the influence from “pro Israel” groups is statistical noise?

Just that a neoliberal will excuse literal genocide if it’s their guy being paid to do it.

But the numbers don’t add up. He’s probably being paid more money from people that want him to stop. I’m saying the money doesn’t seem to have any influence one way or the other.

Well I brought receipts and you brought assumptions. Looks a lot like bribery from here.

Also who the fuck are you? only $150,000 a year for 30 years??

what receipts? You posted a number and no proof. I literally just did math on your comment.

and 150K is one fifth of one percent (0.02%) of what the DNC raised the last quarter of 2023.

If you’re trying to prove money==influence, you’ve successfully argued that no one is buying much of any influence with DNC for $150K a year.

I’m not even arguing for or against your point, I’m just trying to point out that you’re providing evidence against the point you’re trying to make.

Didn’t this exact scenario happen with Kim Jong Un playing golf in North Korea? (I mean, I know that’s their general shtick anyway, but still)

Dear leader scored 18 straight holes-in-one, and furthermore accomplished this feat whilst riding a patriotic unicorn and leading its vulnerable offspring to a new, highly advanced North Korean Unicorn Habitat, simultaneously fighting off multiple waves of Capitalist Bear and Tiger covert assault forces!

It’s awkward phrasing and needs a hyphen between golfing and talented, but I think it’s generally cromulent. The way I read it is that it was a challenge because there’s a large number of members who are talented at golfing.

That said, when it’s your club, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the trophy. You can do anything.
