It’s normal to reduce prices as games get older
A shame they never continued the remasters to Red Alert 2 and Tiberium Sun.
Would be nice to see the Generals games get some attention too, they weren’t “traditional” C&C titles but were still fun to play.
Am I alone in wanting a Generals remaster in the 2D isometric format?
maybe openra will get to it in a few decades
They had a c&c team shooter at one point that was a blast.
Imho they really missed out on defining the split-role FPS/RTS genre, they had all the peices but just never put them together.
There is a free fan made remake of the shooter. https://totemarts.games/games/renegade-x/
Unfortunately while EA seems fine with them distributing this as long as it is free, they won’t allow them to put it on Steam.
I haven’t played it in a couple of years so I don’t know if there are still active servers but it is a very good remake.
this is genorosity now?
Taking history into consideration, yes. This is unprecedented benevolence as far as EA goes.
Remember, sense of accomplishment goes a long way
This looks like a reduction in base price, as the steam store pages do not mention any discount percentage.
price should be permanent.Does Red Alert 3 need Origin?
This happens as games stop pulling in sales. I grabbed an old Rally game when they dropped the price to 99¢
Dead Island 2 was free for a few days
Still too expensive.
Looks like I’m spending eight dollars today
