Do you really think that underneath a headline saying “Spanish tourist gang-raped in India”, that you need to warn the reader that the news article includes content about rape?
Are there people who would open it thinking “Ach it’s probably a misprint, I bet she just ended up dancing through flowery meadows and cuddling fluffy bunnies the whole holiday”?
It’s easy to include, and the way information is displayed can vary across the clients, but yes it is redundant information.
