I know the claim you’re trying to make, but hazing is an immensely horrible problem in militaries worldwide. Even in the Russian system where it’s received it’s own name, Dedovshchina, it’s not as simple as “you have a gun, why are you being hazed”?
Unless the person fully snaps, which does happen, what are they supposed to do? Get murder or fragging charges? They’re scared, and with institutional hazing it’s expected you’ll take it or your life will be made a living hell. It feels uncomfortably close to victim blaming to say that just because you have a weapon means that you can’t be raped, or you’re somehow weak or cowardly for letting it happen.

Surely soldiers armed to the teeth would let themselves be abused.
Yeah, if you knew a serial rapist in your unit was attacking other soldiers you’d just shoot him.
