All of us get to that point at some stage.
It’s the worst when you already own a product and then Google buys it, e.g. Nest.
If the personal data harvesting from Fitbits is not seen as generating enough revenue, Google will shut it down.
And, more importantly:
If the person who approved the purchase has moved on to a new role in Google and the new head does not see this role as a way to secure a promotion, Google will shut it down.
