I fondly remember the days of eviction and how that slimy appt complex took me to court over a few grand, and how much stress and eventual desensitization it caused.
The place had an immense amount of black mold. Right down the hall was a bolted up room, everything carpeted in thick black mold. Bed bugs. Roaches. Fleas.
I said f u. Evict me. Can’t get blood from a stone. I was pretty dumb then…still am.
I don’t really know the solution, but some better safety nets would be nice. Maybe some Healthcare if your not too busy. I know you can afford it.
Of course - multiple pre-warnings, which includes contact from social workers with resources to help them find somewhere to go/help moving their belongings. But that would cost the government money, and that won’t fly in the US.

I saw another headline like “When is the time to tell tenants to leave” or something as if the U.S should just wait then evict everyone at once.
