I wonder if this is just sampling bias or if there is some deeper systemic problem happening here. Have there always been this many air traffic accidents in the US or are we just seeing more reports recently?
Apparently, FAA is severely understaffed now, with a lot of traffic controllers doing jobs of multiple people. And it’s also worth that the remaining people are under more pressure meaning that they’re more likely to quit putting even more pressure on those that remain.
