    Seems super short sighted for the US - would a two state solution (which, according to the US, is the only solution) not mean giving Palestine UN membership?

    Also, this was a vote to basically allow discussion on membership to move forward to the full assembly, not an actual vote on allowing membership here and now.

          The GoP literally want to dismantle democracy. Project 2025 is known about. If Trump wins, I suspect there will be no more properly free elections

          That’s the issue. At least with Biden, you get to vote again in 2028 and have it matter
