The sentiment is great. Unfortunately the Muslim stereotyping hits a lot different in 2023 than it did in 2012.

What about this is stereotyping in a negative or hurtful way? I am genuinely asking for the purposes of learning btw, not concern trolling or sea lioning.

Theyre called “hoor al-ayn” and descriptions of them are in the primary islamic religious literature (in both the quran and hadith). Googling that will bring up plenty (youtube comments under videos on it especially are something else)

          Here’s some relevant passages:

Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation. And made them virgins, Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age. (56:35-37, being chapter:verse)

Fair ones reserved in pavilions - (55:72)

Indeed, for the righteous is attainment - Gardens and grapevines And full-breasted [companions] of equal age (78:32-33)

Not sure about the specific number (the trope is 72, not 17) but the comic is accurate.

The catch is you don’t have libido anymore because, duh, you’re in heaven and has no need to procreate, so god disabled that feature. Now you have 17 forever-virgin room mates. I mean, the verses didn’t mention that you get to have sex with the virgins, right?

Wars are always about limited resources. Religion, politics, beliefs, philosophies, laws, traditions all boils down to getting a bigger share of the pie for your side. Ironically, space exploration might make wars obsolete for a while. There’s so much real estate on other planets that you can simply bugger off if you don’t like your neighbours.

We just don’t have the technology to massively change a planets ecosystem to be habitable and the amount of resources to build a life dome is just absurd.

It’s nice to go outside sometimes but I don’t do it often. Worst bit would be some luxuries. Mostly food variety and ingredients.

We don’t need full on domes; pressurized buildings would be enough. But if we can populate other planets we can populate the unpopulated parts of Earth.

With the current resources we have I feel it would be prudent to stay underground rather than build mega structures on ground.

There’s no other habitable planet in our system (requiring heavy life support is not sustainable), and even the closest inhabitable exoplanet is probably out of reach for at least the next millennium.

You’d love a TV show called The Expanse.

It’s based off a book series, so you might also wanna read those too.

Basically: No, conflict doesn’t stop, it just changes. Less racism, more Earther vs Martian conflicts.

This sure seems to be passing the buck from the people who started the wars to the poor people who fight them
